About The Blake Society

The Blake Society, named after the visionary artist and poet, William Blake, is a non-profit organisation that implements and manages an annual Prize and Exhibition program for contemporary art and poetry exploring the themes of spirituality, religion and human justice.
The annual Blake Poetry Prize is administered and managed in partnership with The NSW Writers’ Centre.

An elected Board of Directors and a General Manager jointly administer the Society’s programs. Select a Board member from the left-hand menu to view their statement of support.

The Society relies upon the goodwill and support of Members and Friends to ensure its ongoing viability.  The Blake Society is not underwritten by a philanthropic trust or foundation and receives no Government funding, but has DGR status.

If you would like to support the Society, please contact us to find out more about Membership, The Blake Friends and support programs.
